Benefits
The star start triangle reduces the current and the starting torque to 33% (1/3) of those found in a direct start.
During the start-up phase, the components are affected by currents below the rated motor current.
Starter star-triangle
The star triangle starter is the best known and perhaps the most widely used of the low-voltage starter methods.
It is used to start the pump motor reducing mechanical stress and limiting currents during start-up, all through a timed system that allows the switching of the control contactors installed inside the panel.
