START-UP WITH INVERTER
Frequency inverters for primary water and wastewater treatment applications are equipped with various customised functions for controlling single and multi-pump systems. These pump-specific functions help to reduce operating and maintenance costs over the entire life cycle of the pumping system.
The drives achieve this through:
- Reduced start-up stress for the pumping system
- Optimal speed according to the demand of the moment
- Optimising energy consumption in parallel pump systems (boosters)
- The prevention of cavitation and dry running of pumps
- The monitoring of energy consumption
- Monitoring and protecting the pump motor
- Energy savings expressed in kWh, in economic terms or in CO2 emissions

CARATTERISTICHE CHIAVE
Inverter start-up
A frequency converter is an electronic device used to control the rotational speed and torque of an electric motor. The motor, in turn, drives a load (e.g. a pump). A frequency converter converts the mains AC voltage into DC voltage via a rectifier and is stabilised by the DC link capacitor bank. The inverter finally converts the DC voltage back into AC with variable frequency. Frequency inverters for primary water and waste water treatment applications are equipped with various customised functions for controlling single and multi-pump systems.

Components and applications
VARTEK control panel have a multifunctional display, a manual or automatic selector switch, and a switch-disconnector with door lock system.
A terminal block allows connection to external consumers and controls such as pressure switches, float switches, etc.
VARTEK switchboards are optimal in various applications with:
Industrial water pumps, booster pumps
Rainwater lifting pumps, irrigation pumps (submersible or surface)
Submersible pumps, waste water pumps
