PRINCIPALES CARACTÉRISTIQUES
European Standard EN12845
The European standard UNI EN 12845 deals with fixed fire-fighting installations and the design, installation and maintenance of automatic sprinkler systems.
Mainly EN 12845 deals with giving rules and indications on the sizing of fire-fighting systems and the type of pumps, prescribing some general requirements and others specific to particular pumps.
Each pump must be installed with its own control panel in the same room, with the obvious exception of submersible pumps.
Benefits
Compared to the previous standard UNI9490, many more conditions have been added that must be monitored and passed on to a supervised room or responsible person who can intervene immediately.
The standard also clarifies that the fire-fighting system in its complexity must be certified.
The pumping system and/or switchboards can be declared compliant with the standard by means of self-certification by the manufacturer.
